OBAMA - Anti-life

Sen. Barack Obama portrays himself as a thoughtful Democrat who carefully considers both sides of controversial issues, but his radical stance on abortion puts him further left on that issue than even NARAL Pro-Choice America.

In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote.

Both the Illinois and the federal bill sought equal treatment for babies who survived premature inducement for the purpose of abortion and wanted babies who were born prematurely and given live-saving medical attention.

So---- if you tried to kill a baby but it was born anyway - alive - Mr. Obama thinks it's okay to go ahead and end the poor baby's life.....outside the womb. Okay, not enough of a murderer....?

Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.
In the second hearing, Stanek said, “I brought pictures in and presented them to the committee of very premature babies from my neonatal resuscitation book from the American Pediatric Association, trying to show them unwanted babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they were wanted!”

“And those pictures didn’t faze him [Obama] at all,” she said.
Cold......

As a senator, Obama has opposed measures to criminalize those who transport minors across state lines for the purpose of obtaining an abortion.

At a townhall meeting in Ottawa, Ill., Joanne Resendiz, a teacher and mother of five, asked him: “How are you going to vote on this, keeping in mind that 10, 15 years down the line your daughters, God forbid, could be transported across state lines?”

Obama said: “The decision generally is one that a woman should make.”
I think we are all doomed if he wins......what a sicko.....

This post makes me sad.

We have been doomed for a long time now, Obama is a voice of hope and change. He has done and will do so much good for our nation as a whole - he is the only candidate running on a platform of unity and healing in this election. I am tired of fighting with the other half and watching my country slip into a canyon created by two dueling extremes.

All senators have to make tough choices that tow the line between justice and decency. Look at the voting history for each senator and you will find choices that seem harsh and extreme. We must look at the big picture for each candidate to make our choices.

This is what I think. It could be offensive to some people because I don't have the same opinion. But it's honest and true...to me.

APW,
I don't know you and I don't want to be offensive, but you must be a little naive. Obama has NO idea about foreign policy (even though he's a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee-haha), healthcare issues (that will raise our taxes out of the wazzoo), homeland security (what security?), fiscal matters, or Iraq (he must know better than our top generals).....and don't even get me started about the rest.
Do the blind follwers of this man REALLY know what he believes, what he actually wants to do with this country?? It's quite chilling - his record is THE most liberal...more than Kennedy or Clinton - more than anyone. Do you know what ruin he could cause? The man talks pretty, gives a great speech and seems nice in person. He does have charisma. But Good God - pay attention to what he really is all about - don't vote for someone because you want change - that's just stupid..... anyone new will be a change and some change is BAD.

PLEASE DO look at all the choices the candidates have made over the years...
You hear Obama say all sorts of things how he'll "bring people together" and all sorts of flowery things.... NO substance.... He's a bunch of hot air when it all comes down to it. Nice delivery though...
