Oprah is one of the most dangerous people in the world. She is smart, charismatic, rich and very influential. She once was a Christian and now follows this "guru" Eckhart Tolle, who is SOOOO Creepy. Remember, the devil disguises himself as an agel of light.

Michelle Obama..... a first Lady? Lord NO!

I don't think Ms. Michelle could ever be a great first lady. After all, she hasn't been proud of her country until now. Now that people are following her husband like sheep. She's not proud until now? Victory in the Cold War? how about only things that have made liberals proud — all the accomplishments of inclusion? How about the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1991? Or Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s elevation to the Supreme Court? 25 years of economic progress and social progress and she's not proud until now? Wow, she's selfish and shallow.

She said "Hope finally feels like it's making a comeback".....keep hoping Michelle, hope the people can forget what an insensitive, idiotic remark you made.

Hot on the heels of his explanation for why he no longer wears a flag pin, presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama was forced to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

According to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171, During rendition of the national anthem when the
flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides," Obama said. "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it."

WHAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this could possibly be our next president. I, for once, am speechless . .

Trace inspired me to take a picture of my favorite thing ...the thing in my yard that makes me the happiest. I had to wait a few days until it was fully in bloom but I LOVE my red bud tree. We almost lost it a few years ago to carpenter ants.... I'm so happy to see it healing!

*******follow up - WOW, i was so impressed. I can't stand to Mariah singing---like nails on a chalkboard. But I enjoyed the songs. I REALLY liked Jason Castro....I know, he's not the favorite but David C was NOT good and the judges liked it. Totally off key and mumbled but they liked it???? It baffles. They will watch it back and know they were wrong. Brooke is gone this week....my guess. She was shaking and teary eyed by the end of the song....she knew it wasn't going well.

A Great Bunch of People Mr. Obama

I have been spending time on political blogs and it's amazing the stupidity of people. People are for Obama because the media tells them they should be or Saturday Night Live or Oprah....whoever will think for them. No one really knows what Obama is about. He is a good speaker but what about who is is??? What he believes???

This was a comment I left recently about the group of advisers that Obama has surrounded himself with:

Let's see, who are Obama's advisers? Oh yea, the Rev. and McPeak- oh great....they sound brilliant (they hate Whites, Jews, Christians and Italians....probably more). Another is Axelrod ...he was a political columnist.....that's all? whoa, what a resume. He became a political strategist after that, an "expert" on web campaigning (i will say, he's good at that but not going to give good advice about anything else....in short, a salesman just like Obama).
Penny Pritzker (a really, really rich Democrat....crazy).....Ms. Moneybags is the chair of the finance committee....no wonder, not only has she contributed a bundle but she and her family were ordered to pay $460 million to avoid being punished for the failure of Superior bank. Boy, this crowd is great so far.
Let's see. A new comer to politics....Goolsbee.... and even fellow democrats say things like: "Goolsbee may be a dandy economist but he is a fool when it comes to dealing with foreign officials" and "They may run a terrific campaign. But governing and managing foreign policy is not the same as campaigning."
He called The Canadian's ambassador to US and told him that Obama was "going to speak out on NAFTA but reassured Wilson that the criticisms would only be campaign rhetoric, and should not be taken at face value."----oops.
Marian Robinson, Barack Obama's mother-in-law, has emerged as a vital element of the campaign by caring for the Obama children during the long race. Oh yea, and she was finance chair for Barack's Senate campaign. I wonder what church she goes to?
Another Obama adviser, Power, told the BBC that "Obama's plan to withdraw all troops from Iraq within 16 months was subject to change once he took office." - Where did he find these people???

Oh, and Obama's resume on Foreign Policy: Chairman of the Oversight Commitee on NATO for Afganistan! Impressive huh! Ok so he held no meetings and didn’t resign so someone could actually work on the commitee before the Tallaban surge that is coming this spring, but it is on Obama’s resume and is impressive isn’t it?

Mrs. Clinton stop exaggerating!

Hillary is using a heartwarming story on the campaign trail (with background music to enhance the mood) about a young women down in her luck and pregnant. She apparently went to a hospital that would not treat her because she did not have insurance. Tragically the baby and mother both died. It is a sad story and she likes to tell it at every campaign stop to prove we need universal healthcare. Unfortunately, like many stories she tells, it is not true. The hospital has even asked for Hillary to STOP telling the story , the woman DID have insurance....

1. It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support from our allies, and:

2. It is intended to discourage American citizens and erode their support for the war.

3. It is intended to help the Democratic Party gain more power in the next elections.

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

oops----now Hillary has been caught in one of her lies. It seems she remembers running from sniper fire when she got off of an airplane in Bosnia...

Reporters have it all on camera and she was shaking hands with wellwishers and being greeted by officials on the tarmac.

For those of you who are questioning the eye movement/lying thing---- HERE is a good site to explain it. THIS is another. When they say LEFT they mean your left - so when a person looks to THEIR right (your left) - it is MADE UP, a lie:

Have you noticed Obama looks to his right a lot? That means he is lying. It's so interesting to watch it.....they ask a question, he looks to his right and then he answers. This is "eye language" and it means he is making up his answer. Watch him. I'm going to start watching Hilary too.

It's an amazing time to be alive in America. We're in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first frontrunning freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first.

We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics.

The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner, and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him.

Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He's not. He's the next George McGovern. And it's time people learned the facts.

Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost.

Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he's not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America. But let's look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial "beauty."

Start with national security, since the president's most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk.

Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on "the rich." How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.

Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, "All praise and glory to God!" but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have "hijacked" - hijacked - Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois, he refused to vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood, and San Francis co values, not Middle America values.

The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don't start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of "bringing America together" means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs.

But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and - yes - they're talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama's radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton.

It's time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let's first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war.

Adoption is wonderful

Sometimes I get distracted. I have gotten off onto political talk because I feel that my daughter's future is at stake. She is the most precious thing in the world to me.

I will probably keep talking about it and I don't care who disagrees. Those who do don't know much anyway...:)

I forget that my child is adopted and I forget I am adopted. It's just not that much a part of our lives....but ut sure has made our lives wonderful....

OBAMA is an Idiot...

It is such a shame that some so many Americans take what this man says hook, line and sinker. They are like stupid sheep........He says nothing people!....listen to any speech and he says absolutely nothing that has to do with what he will do for this country except change, change, change, hope ,hope, hope. People want to hear those things, he tickles their ears and they eat it up.

He reminds me of a high school senior running for student council president. He promises that every senior will have every other day off school, they'll all make As without studying and free pizza ever day for lunch.... a bunch of empty promises to get elected....give 'em what they want to hear...

Tonight I heard him say he was going to end poverty --- now, that sounds wonderful but come on, he's going to END poverty????? Who does this guy think he is? And HOW will he do that?
He said he's going to TALK to our enemies and use diplomacy instead of war. I actually laughed. Let's send him over to TALK to the suicide bombers, that'll do it. Let's send him over....to talk to Kim Yong-Il in North Korea....I'm sure they would get along. Let's send him over to "talk" to the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad....he's such a reasonable man. Please....Mr. Obama, talk to them because even though we have had experts working on that, I'm sure you could do something they didn't do. And while you're at it, why don't you end poverty in those countries as well.....

A Tough Case

This young woman made some bad decisions....she relinquished her rights and lied under oath that she was raped and the father was a friend of a friend. In actuality she lived with the father and he was in jail at the time of the child's birth for abusing her. The judge had no choice but to side with the adopted parents.

This, I'm sure, is one of those cases the judge doesn't want to ever have to decide....but the girl legally signed away her rights....as far as the law is concerned, she is not the legal mother anymore.

It shows you that making a decision to do something can change your life. I had a friend who made the decision to jump into a car with a friend who decided to run into a gas station and rob them. It was not my friend's idea but he went to jail anyway.

A girl could have a baby and let a guy live with her that abuses that baby...she may make the decision to leave that baby with the guy while she goes out---- the guy could shake the baby and cause his/her death. It's a tragedy, a very bad decision that cannot be changed. You can't go back and "re-do" some things, even though you want to....
