The Mistress's Daughter
by A.M. Homes

This book is written by an adoptee with a bizarre story of her birthfamily and the discovery of the odd circumstances of her adoption.

NPR is running series of stories about adoption called "Adoption in America".

Oh, it sounds like an interesting book. Sounds like a library trip for me. I haven't been listening to all the NPR adoption centered broadcasts, but I did hear one the other day about transracial adoption. It spawned a nature vs. nurture discussion between me and my dad.

I enjoyed reading this book. I'm curious how it felt to an adopted person.

Thanks for the tip on the NPR broadcast.

P.S. I noticed my last comment to you doesn't show up. I hope you didn't find anything offensive in it (I really can't remember its specifics), but I had no ill intent.

I suggested it to the Blogospere... We'll see if anyone is interested. I know I am.
