Smudged
Trying to understand people, someone e-mailed me about the string of people who seem to be "angry adoptees"..... one thing stuck out........
This doesn't take away what anyone has been through...but it explains a lot in this negative blog world.
I think it hits the nail right on the head.

Hi Petunia,
Do you think some parents are better
in dealing with adoption issues than others? What made your parents so special that you feel so happy?
I think you have already noted some of the things that cause unhappiness and angers, such as lack of truthful
history, no accurate birth certificate. How does an adoptee overcome strong emotions when they are victims of human rights?
thanks
Kathy,
I don't expect everyone to be happy, adopted or not. Many people go through trials and come out of it unscathed...many go through nothing much and live in fear, anger and misery. WHY? We are all so different and all handle things in a different way. Studies show a good stable two parent home helps (but not always-there are awesome single parents who do a spectacular job and terrible two parents homes).
God has been a great help to me but I had two parents who really didn't have any baggage and knew how to parent really well. However, I have a friend who is a biomom, came out of an alcoholic family and is doing great. It's rare today to not find some disfunction in families but it's how they deal with those things that make a good parent.
Petunia,
I know that I asked a difficult question, and I appreciate your graceful and honest answer.
Thanks.
